HC Deb 01 November 1993 vol 231 c7W
Sir Cranley Onslow

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his latest estimate of the sums committed by(a) county councils and (b) other local authorities in England and Wales on representations about the proposed reform of local government.

Mr. Curry

[holding answer 29 October 1993]: This is a matter for authorities themselves; we have no information on which to base an estimate for England. Local government reorganisation in Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
