§ Mr. David HuntThe latest economic appraisal estimates that the Cardiff Bay regeneration strategy, including the barrage, will attract some 23,000 new jobs and £1.2 billion of private sector investment to Cardiff bay. The wider south Wales economy will clearly benefit from activity of this magnitude, in terms of both additional jobs and changed perceptions of the region in the eyes of inward investors.
