§ Mr. JackThe number of prosecutions in England and Wales under the Obscene Publications Act 1959, as amended by the Obscene Publications Act 1964, rose from 174 in 1990 to 364 in 1991, an increase of 109 per cent. 1992 data will not be available until the autumn.
