HC Deb 19 May 1993 vol 225 cc210-1W
Mr. Parry

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he received a letter from Mr. Geoffrey F. Dowsett concerning the governorship of Hong Kong; what reply he has sent; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Charles Wardle

[holding answer 10 May 1993]: No trace can be found in either Home Office or Foreign and Commonwealth Office records of the letter referred to by the hon. Member. However, questions relating to the governorship of Hong Kong would normally be a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
