What were the total gross receipts for fines in the United Kingdom in each of the last 10 years, expressed in current prices and 1993 prices, showing in each case the percentage that the total represented of the costs of (a) the judicial system and (b) the police in the same year.

The table below shows gross receipts in respect of fines, court fees and fixed penalties in the United Kingdom in each of the last 10 years, (expressed in £ millions). The table also shows the cost of the judicial system, based on the cost of the judiciary and the administration of the courts.
