To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 16 February,Official Report, columns 159–60, how many of the (a) anti-diarrhoeal drugs, (b) appetite suppressants, (c) medicines for the treatment of vaginal and vulval conditions and (d) drugs for the treatment of soft tissue inflammation currently available on the national health service have been the subject of letters to manufacturers by the Advisory Committee on NHS Drugs in respect of the proposed extension of the limited list.

The Advisory Committee on Drugs is an independent committee. It would not be appropriate at this stage to disclose information about the number of products which are the subject of discussions with manufacturers in relation to the proposed extension of the selected list scheme.
