Mr. Hain

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many people in each(a) district and (b) county in Wales are economically inactive; and what is the total number of people in Wales who are economically inactive.

In the 1991 census the definition of economically inactive includes all those retired, permanently sick, students without a job in the week before the census and other inactive.
