HC Deb 05 May 1993 vol 224 c120W
Mr. Michael

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will provide a table showing all housing associations and other organisations which have applied for all-Wales strategy resettlement funding for 1993–94, the figure applied for in each case and the figure actually agreed by his Department.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

Housing associations receive funding for strategy-related housing through Housing for Wales as part of their special needs programme. Special grants are made to county teams who negotiate and commission care at a local level with care management organisations. The programme for resettlement for this year (1993–94) will evolve during the year. However, the full year costs to counties to supply a comprehensive package of care, including accommodation for 110 individuals is estimated to be £5 million to the Welsh Office.
