HC Deb 05 May 1993 vol 224 cc116-7W
Mr. Hanson

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the current state of the outstanding caseload for the local government ombudsman in Wales for cases waiting(a) three months, (b) six months and (c) nine months or longer to be investigated.

Mr. David Hunt

The Commission for Local Administration is an independent statutory body and questions relating to its activities are for the Commission itself to answer.

The annual reports of the Local Commissioner, copies of which are in the Library of the House, provide statistics on the number of complaints received and the time taken to deal with them. The report for 1992–93 is likely to be available in June.
