Mr. Yeo

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I most recently met the Association of Directors of Social Services on 26 April 1993.

I met representatives of the British Association of Social Workers on 11 November 1992.

I met the national development team on 7 May 1992, Rescare on 14 May 1992, ARC on 7 July 1992 and Mencap on 27 July 1992.

Ministers have attended a number of functions arranged by carer organisations in recent months. I met the Relatives Association on 11 March 1993.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has had several meetings with Age Concern, the most recent of which was on 8 February 1993. I met the National Schizophrenia Fellowship on 10 February 1993. I met the all-party disablement group on 3 November 1992. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State met the all-party parliamentary group for pensioners on 15 December 1992. We are setting up a group of users and carers who will give Ministers feedback on their experiences of the implementation of the community care reforms.

The Social Care Association has not sought meetings to discuss the implementation of community care.

At the end of last year my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I met a large number of independent sector drug and alcohol service providers to discuss various issues surrounding the implementation of community care.
