To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if she will list a full timetable for the work of the London implementation group on(a) changes to acute services and (b) the review of individual specialities; and if she will make a statement;

(2) if she will make a statement on the progress being made by the London implementation group on the future of (a) the Royal Brompton hospital, (b) the Royal Marsden hospital, (c) the Charing Cross hospital, (d) Queen Charlotte's hospital, (e) the Royal National throat, nose and ear hospital and (f) the hospital for tropical diseases.

Dr. Mawhinney

The timetable for planning change in the inner-London acute sector was set out in our policy document "Making London Better". We have asked the London implementation group, working with the Thames regional health authorities and local purchasers and providers, to take forward the necessary studies, option appraisals and consultations according to this timetable.
