HC Deb 25 March 1993 vol 221 c689W
Mr. Norman Hogg

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what key points he has asked the Red Deer Commission to consider following the consultation exercise on deer legislation 1991–92.

Sir Hector Monro

[holding answer 24 March 1993]: The consultation exercise on deer legislation produced differing views on such matters as how best to respond to damage by deer to the natural habitat, control schemes to reduce deer stocks and the status and powers of deer management groups. I have asked the Red Deer Commission to examine these questions as well as other points of detail which require further consideration.
