HL Deb 25 March 1993 vol 544 c21WA
Lord O'Hagan

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How the interests of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are represented in Brussels.

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

The interests of the United Kingdom as a whole are served by our Representation to the European Communities, and by our Embassy in Belgium. Departments also have their own day-to-day contacts with the European Community and its institutions. Various groups also make private arrangements to lobby the Commission and the European Parliament, including groups based on particular geographical areas of the United Kingdom.
