HL Deb 25 March 1993 vol 544 c21WA
Lord O'Hagan

asked Her Majesty's Government:

To what extent food and beverages from the different regions of the United Kingdom are served to visitors in UK Embassies and Permanent Representations, particularly in Brussels.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)

The FCO has no policy on, nor does it offer guidance on, the sourcing of food and beverages served to visitors by UK Embassies and Permanent Representations, including those in Brussels.

Heads of Mission and other representational officers individually decide the source of their food and beverages on the basis of value for money, personal choice, product availability and the nature of the visit.
