§ Dr. MawhinneyInformation on the ethnic origin of nurses, midwives, senior and general managers will be collected centrally from September 1993, followed by all other staff groups in September 1994. Results will be available in autumn 1994 and autumn 1995 respectively. In order to provide a general picture the Department is currently conducting a "snapshot" survey of the ethnic origin of all employees in a sample of provider units. Subject to the quality of data supplied, results will be available in the autumn.
