To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many(a) men and (b) women in each standard age group died from colorectal cancer in each of the last five years.

The numbers of deaths from malignant neoplasms of the colon (ICD 153) and malignant neoplasms of the rectum, rectosigmoid junction and anus (ICD 154) by age group and sex in England and Wales from 1987 to 1991, are shown in the table.
