To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the current charging policy in Northern Ireland for the emptying of septic tanks; and if he will make a statement.

Where public sewerage facilities are not available septic tanks are emptied free of charge up to twice yearly. In other circumstances a volumetric charge is made.
