HC Deb 15 March 1993 vol 221 c117W
Mr. Chisholm

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much money has been given to local enterprise companies for after school child care for 1993–94; and whether the money is ring fenced.

Mr. Stewart

[holding answer 12 March 1993]: Resources for a new programme for the provision of out of school child care have been included in the overall budgets for Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise for 1993–94. The relevant resources have not been ring fenced, in accordance with the normal budgetary arrangements for these bodies; and the detailed allocation of resources to the local enterprise companies is an operational matter for Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
