HC Deb 12 March 1993 vol 220 c767W
Mr. Peter Bottomley

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what plans he has to facilitate transfer of people with mobility handicaps between Waterloo and Waterloo East stations.

Mr. Freeman

British Rail has provided a high-level pedestrian bridge over the road between the two stations. Access to the bridge from Waterloo station is by stairs and escalators. There is also a customer-operated lift for people with mobility handicaps. From the bridge to the platforms in Waterloo East all routes are either level or ramped.
