United Kingdom/United States relations are in excellent shape and we expect them to remain so.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last met the United States ambassador to the Court of St. James's to discuss co-operation.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs meets the United States ambassador on a fairly regular basis. They last met on 3 March.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what high level contacts have taken place between the United Kingdom Government and the United States Government on future relations between Britain and the United States of America since the new United States presidency began.

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer met United States Treasury Secretary Bentsen last weekend, and I have had meetings with Secretary Warren Christopher and Defence Secretary Les Aspin.
