HC Deb 10 March 1993 vol 220 cc596-7W
21. Mr. Pike

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with representatives of Governments of front-line states regarding progress in the Republic of South Africa towards ending the policy of apartheid.

Mr. Hurd

We share the wish of all states in the region to see non-racial democracy established in South Africa. We discuss progress on this with representatives of those states at every suitable opportunity.

37. Mr. John Carlisle

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will have further discussion with President de Klerk and other members of the South African Government regarding their proposed constitutional changes.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

We shall keep in regular touch with them, and with the other main parties in the constitutional negotiations, as the process develops.
