HC Deb 10 March 1993 vol 220 c615W
Sir Michael Grylls

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many medical advisers employed by family health services authorities have had their performance assessed; and how many were deemed effective on the criterion laid down to assess their performance.

Dr. Mawhinney

This information is not held centrally. All family health service authorities (FHSAs) are expected to have medical advisers. Individual FHSAs are responsible for salary costs of medical advisers and for setting in train any procedures for monitoring their effectiveness.
