To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what plans his Department has to relocate his Ministry's civilian posts in Yorkshire.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

Decisions which we have already announced will result in the transfer of around 1,000 civilian posts from Yorkshire. Other proposals would result in the further relocation of posts. However, there will continue to be a substantial Ministry of Defence presence in Yorkshire.
