To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his answer of 19 January,Official Report, column 209, if he will make a further statement on the availability of myxomatosis vaccine.

§ Mr. Soames
On 18 February the Veterinary Products Committee considered the data supplied by Intervet (UK) Ltd. in support of their application for a licence for a myxomatosis vaccine. It advised that a licence could be issued provided the company met certain conditions. The company is addressing these. I hope a licence will be issued later this month, although, on this basis, it is likely to be May before the company is able to make supplies widely available.
