To ask the Secretary of State for Transport on what dates the A1 carriageways in the area of Ferrybridge, South Yorkshire, have been restricted due to road, bridge or other works during the last five years.

Carriageway restrictions have been imposed on the A1 in the area of Ferrybridge to enable substantial maintenance or survey work to be undertaken on nine occasions in the last five years, as follows:

A1 Fairburn village 11 November 1992 to 19 December 1992
A1 Darrington 22 February 1993 ongoing

The list does not include daytime lane closures of a few hours' duration at off-peak times for routine work, patching or safety fence repairs.
