§ Mr. McLoughlinThe most recent estimates from the summer—June to August—1992 labour force survey show 207W that in the north-west region there were 16,000 people unemployed on the internationally agreed ILO definition who were previously employed in building trades. No information is available from the survey for travel-to-work areas.
The regional estimates for unemployed people by individual building occupations are all below 10,000.
