To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many general practitioner fundholders there are in Wales.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

There are 26 general practitioner fundholders in Wales. A further 45 applicants, including three groups of two practices, are preparing to become fundholders from 1 April next.
