HC Deb 14 June 1993 vol 226 c426W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will give the reasons why women over the age of 65 years are not called for further routine regular smear tests or mammography examinations.

Mr. Sackville

There is evidence to suggest that women over the age of 65 are less likely to accept invitations to screening. Though such women are not routinely invited, they can on request continue to be screened within agreed intervals.
