§ Mr. NorrisThe headquarters of the Surveyor General's Organisation and of the Marine Emergencies Organisation was relocated in Southampton in May. The Department's central services will be relocating to Hastings this June. A study into the possible relocation of the highways safety and traffic command (HST) was carried out last summer, but staff in HST HQ will remain in London for the time being, pending decisions on agency status. There are no other major plans for relocation, but the organisation of the Department is constantly being adjusted to reflect changing needs.
