§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe ninth round of bilateral negotiations between Israel and the Arab parties took place in Washington from 27 April to 13 May. There are welcome indications that all parties engaged in serious discussion of substantive matters. We hope that talks will resume soon and build on what has been achieved.
