HL Deb 27 July 1993 vol 548 c116WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will consult the governments of Australia and other Commonwealth countries about British children sent overseas between 1945 and 1967; and whether they will facilitate family reunion and identification where this is desired.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

The Government are already discussing the matter with the Government of Australia. Organisations such as the Child Migrants Trust and international social services provide a family reunion service and are part funded by the Department of Health.
