HL Deb 26 July 1993 vol 548 c90WA
Baroness Hollis of Heigham

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What percentage of single people on income support, aged 18–24 years, and 25–59 years, are on Housing Benefit.

Lord Henley

It is estimated that about 20 per cent. of single 18–24 year olds, without children, received housing benefit and income support. For those aged 25–59 this figure rises to almost 50 per cent.
