asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the outcome of the recent meeting between the Secretary of State for National Heritage and the Arts Council to discuss the Price Waterhouse Review of the Arts Council; and

Whether they will take full note of the views of the Arts Council, its art-form panels, its national arts and media strategy, and artistic practitioners before implementing any cuts to the Arts Council budget in the next public spending round or implementing the recommendations of the Price Waterhouse Review.
