HL Deb 23 July 1993 vol 548 c66WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it is the case that, as reported in the Observer of 6th June, they have modified Baroness Chalker of Wallasey's concurrence with the Earl of Halsbury's statement concerning the use of reactor grade plutonium for nuclear weapons Hansard (col. 281) 26th May saying that the Minister's agreement was "improvised" and that civilian plutonium is "conceivably useable" to make nuclear weapons.

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

I refer the noble Lord to the answer I gave him on 28th June at col.WA 21.
