§ Mr. LeighFollowing my Department's review of the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1987, I announced on 30 January 1992 a proposal to revise these regulations and to include a requirement that domestic electrical appliances be supplied fitted with a correctly fused 13-amp plug. This matter is currently the subject of consultation.
No decision on the progress of the revised regulations can be taken until full consideration has been given to the responses received from the public consultation.
