§ Mr. Garel-JonesThe Turkish Government are well aware of our concern about human rights in Turkey. We welcome Prime Minister Demirel's recognition of a Kurdish identity and his Government's intention to make human rights improvements a priority. Prime Minister Demirel has pledged to bring to justice those responsible for the killing of journalists in south east Turkey.
