§ Mr. BaldryWe are having discussions with several bodies about the representation of public and private client interests in the proposed review. We hope to finalise the arrangements shortly.
§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if the terms of reference of the inquiry into the construction industry will include retention money reform.
§ Mr. BaldryThe purpose of the proposed review is to consider and make recommendations to the Government, the construction industry and its clients on those matters that cause conflict in the shape of procurement and contracts. The question of retention money is one of many matters that we would expect to be included.
