HC Deb 26 February 1993 vol 219 c753W
Mr. Ainger

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what charges are payable to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency for renewing a personal driving licence; and when these charges were introduced.

Mr. Kenneth Carlisle

Since 1 February 1992, the fee for the three-yearly renewal of an ordinary motor car driving licence from age 70 has been £6. The fee to renew large goods and passenger-carrying vehicle licences at age 45 and five-yearly thereafter up to age 60, when annual renewals are required is £21.

There is no charge for licences renewed for medical reasons.
