To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to widen the distribution of surplus EC food; and if he will make a statement.

I am reviewing the operation of the EC surplus food scheme in the United Kingdom. Any changes to the arrangements will be announced when the review has been completed.
