To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether subsidiaries of European companies are subject to home or host country accountancy regulation; and if he will make a statement.

Companies incorporated in Great Britain, whether or not they are subsidiaries of companies incorporated in other European countries, are required to prepare and file accounts in accordance with part VII of the Companies Act 1985.
