§ Mr. MilburnTo ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 9 February,Official Report, column 604, if she will list those hospitals, in each region that have been notified to her Department as experiencing problems managing their resources to cope with admissions levels.
§ Mr. SackvilleThere is no formal requirement on hospitals to send such a notification to the Department. It is for individual health authorities and trusts to manage their resources and to make arrangements for non-emergency admissions to hospitals when admissions are running at a particularly high level.
