HL Deb 22 February 1993 vol 543 c1WA
Baroness Blackstone

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What information and evidence they have submitted to the United Nations War Crimes Investigation Commission on the systematic rape of Bosnian Muslim women and on other human rights violations in the former Yugoslavia; and whether such information is publicly available.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)

None. We are collecting information about alleged violations of humanitarian law in the former Yugoslavia, including the sexual abuse of women. We will submit all substantiated evidence to the UN Commission of Experts.

The Danish EC Presidency has submitted Dame Anne Warburton's report about the abuse of Muslim women to the UN Commission. The report is publicly available. Evidence submitted by other countries is publicly available as UN Security Council documents.
