To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his answer of 9 February,Official Report, c. 584, to the hon. Member for Davyhulme (Mr. Churchill), what consideration his Department has given to keeping a data base of movements of radioactive material by road, rail or air.

Mr. Kenneth Carlisle

It is not considered that the compilation of such a database would help the Department with its responsibilities for the safe transport of radioactive material.
