§ Mr. DowdTo ask the President of the Board of Trade how many individual voluntary arrangements under part VIII of the Insolvency Act 1986 have been notified to his Department in each of the last three years for which records are available; what is the total value of debt 263W written off in this fashion over this period; how many businesses have thereby been thus enabled to continue trading; and how many creditors have suffered irrecoverable losses as a result of the operation of this part of the Act.
