Mr. Steen

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what were the tendering arrangements for the contract to build an antenna at CSOS Morwenstow.

I have been asked to reply.

The competitive tender exercise for the procurement of an antenna for the composite signals organisation station Morwenstow was carried out in accordance with the standard Government procurement guidelines. Companies with the relevant capabilities were invited to submit tenders by the end of December 1992.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects to announce the winner of the contract to build an antenna at CSOS Morwenstow.

The contract should be awarded before the end of February.
