HL Deb 11 February 1993 vol 542 c56WA
The Countess of Mar

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will confirm that there have been 15 successful appeals by dispensing doctors against decisions to allow applications by pharmacists to dispense in rural areas since 1984 and 14 successful appeals by pharmacists against applications by dispensing doctors in the same period.

Baroness Cumberlege

Further investigation has shown that the information given in my previous reply on 28th January 1993 at cols.WA99-WA100 was incorrect. There have been two successful appeals by dispensing doctors against decisions to allow applications by pharmacists to dispense in rural areas since 1984 and three successful appeals by pharmacists against applications by dispensing doctors in the same period.
