§ 13. Mr. Harry Greenway
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is the estimated cost of United Kingdom operations in the former Yugoslavia; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Rifkind
The additional cost of participation to date amounts to some £60 million. The cost of peacekeeping operations will be met by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

§ 24. Mr. Davidson
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the future of the United Kingdom contribution to the UN relief operation in Bosnia.

§ Mr. Rifkind
As I said in the House on 14 January, we are committed to continuing our contribution to the United Nations humanitarian effort so long as conditions on the ground permit.
