§ Mr. Stewart[holding answer 20 January 1993]: My right hon. and learned Friends the Secretaries of State for the Home Department and for the Environment and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for National Heritage announced the outcome of the Government's consideration on 10 November 1992. These announcements covered England, Scotland and Wales. My hon. Friend the Minister for Education and Housing made a separate announcement on 10 November in relation to home-to-school transport in Scotland.
Officials are currently holding detailed discussions with representatives of local government, including the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, on the practical aspects of implementing the Government's decisions.
