§ 77. Mr. ByersTo ask the Secretary of State for Education how many local authority school reorganisation proposals are awaiting a decision from his Department; and how many have been awaiting a decision for more than(a) one month, (b) three months, (c) six months and (d) one year.
§ Mr. ForthAt 28 January, 104 proposals published under section 12 and 13 of the Education Act 1980 were awaiting a decision. Of these, 101 have been awaiting a22W decision for more than one month, 72 for more than three months, 31 for more than six months and six for more than one year.
Proposals outstanding for less than four months may in certain cases fall to the local authority for determination.
