HC Deb 01 February 1993 vol 218 c37W
Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will estimate the total number of houses in each regional and island authority area which may exceed(a) a radon level of 200 Bq/M3 and (b) 20 Bq/M3; and if he will make a statement.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

[holding answer 18 January 1993]: I cannot give such an estimate. Information on radon in Scotland is contained in a report by the National Radiological Protection Board, "Radon in Dwellings in Scotland" published on 20 November 1991. Copies are available in the House Library. A further report by the board is to be published this year.
